Is there any method where I can block connections from Mac Mail clients to our Exchange 2010 server without turning off - Even with a company policy, IT needs a tech solution to be able to provide evidence of any type of abuse of any policy stated. We do use Outlook Anywhere so that our team does not have to connect to VPN for Outlook to connect to Exchange. Our Team Members are pretty tech savvy and have attempted to "work around" other policies in the past (that's a different subject and I do not need a "Well you should get rid of those employees" responses).

However, it doesn't stop them from setting up Mac Mail on their personal devices and auto-forwarding e-mails. This will resolve the issue for the Mac's we provide to Team Members. I can prevent Mac Mail from launching at all on the machines we have Centrify installed. We have Centrify installed on all Mac's in our environment and joined to the domain. However, Mac Mail will auto-forward any/all messages to external e-mail and circumvents the policy mentioned above.

Outlook on all Windows devices and mobile devices adhere to this policy, even Outlook for Mac 2011 adheres to this policy. We do not allow auto-forwarding of e-mail to an external domain/e-mail account and our Exchange 2010 server is setup by default to not allow auto-forwarding.

Has anyone found a way to get Mac Mail (mail.app) to comply to Exchange 2010 security policies? If so, how? If not, have you found a way to block all Mac Mail connections to your Exchange 2010 server while still allowing Outlook Anywhere connectivity?
